He covered the World Series for the Red Sox, the Patriots Super Bowl LIII victory over the Rams, and the Bruins’ Stanley Cup Final run against the Blues to Game 7. Locally, he covered Providence’s run to the Frozen Four and the Little League World Series in a market-leading manner.
Morey formerly worked as a sports anchor/reporter at WAOW-TV in Wausau, Wisconsin, where he was a finalist for “Best Sportscast.” Morey was at the heart of football country, much like New England. He covered the Green Bay Packers for Central Wisconsin’s “official Packers station,” as well as the Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Wisconsin Badgers on a regular basis.
Morey has vast expertise as a public address announcer in addition to television. He was most known for being the in-arena announcer for The Basketball Tournament’s (TBT) Northeast Regional, Sweet Sixteen, and Elite Eight games, all of which were televised live on ESPN.
Morey, who was born and raised just outside of Philadelphia, likes living on the East Coast. In his spare time, he likes to relax on the beaches of Ocean State, play pickup basketball, and try for his first hole-in-one!
