Her career in journalism began at Endemol in Bristol where she served as a runner for the program Deal or No Deal. When she was requested to audition whether presenting a position or training as a weather forecaster with the Met Office was when she had her first on-screen opportunity. Tunbridge Wells, Kent is her native home.
She worked at ITV for eighteen months and later on, she relocated to Kent and joined the BBC’s South East Today program. In addition, it was announced on November 4, 2010, that she would be leaving the BBC to join Sky News as a meteorologist on its Sunrise program thereby taking up Lucy Verasamy’s role on the show. Prior to also presenting forecasts for Sky News-produced 5 News on Channel 5 until 19 February 2012.
