Perez serves at WPLG Local 10 News as a morning traffic reporter and anchor. Perez joined the Local 10 News team as a morning traffic reporter. Her traffic reporting and her field reporting led her to an anchor spot at night, and now to the main co-anchor of Local 10 News at 4 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m. Uh, and 11 p.m. With more than five years of production experience at WSVN-TV and four years of graphic design for the Miami Heat television network, Heat TV, Nicole came to Local 10.
Nicole traveled to Normandy, France, to cover the 75th anniversary of D-Day as a reporter for Local 10 News, as well as to Rome, Italy, to cover Holy Week, and to Paris, France, to cover the Notre Dame Cathedral fire.
In 2017, Nicole covered Hurricane Irma and traveled to Puerto Rico to report after Hurricane Maria on the destruction left behind. She has also covered many local news reports and Nicole felt a special bond with the WWII veterans in our community after her trip to Normandy and has proudly shared their stories.
When coming to her education, she graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in journalism and mass communications. She stays healthy by biking and going to the gym when she’s not reporting South Florida news. In separate U.S. cities, she completed five half-marathons and took first place in an NPC women’s figure contest. Nicole is so happy to be sharing the stories of our city, South Florida, her hometown.
