He worked as a weekend sports anchor at WNCT, which is part of Nexstar Media Group, Inc., in Greenville, North Carolina, for two years and two months (July 2019 – August 2021), before going to WAAY-TV. Before that, he was a weekend sports anchor at WOAY-TV in Oak Hill, West Virginia, for one year and one month (June 2018 – June 2019).
Additionally, Knight worked as a sports anchor at WVVA in Bluefield, West Virginia, for four months (February 2018 – May 2018). During his college years, Knight also served as the Director of Media Relations and Voice for the Green Bay Bullfrogs of the Northwoods League in Green Bay, Wisconsin, for six months. Through these experiences, Knight gained valuable skills and expertise in sports broadcasting and media relations.
During his time at WNCT, Knight talked a lot about the Pirates. He also talked about the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament, the Carolina Hurricanes, and ACC Basketball. Knight played three sports in high school and really enjoyed the toughness, competition, and stories in sports. Besides journalism, Knight enjoys helping the community. He was an active member and Director of Media Relations for the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity from September 2015 to June 2018.
