He is known for covering breaking news topics like Anna Nicole Smith’s death, Caylee Anthony’s arrest, and Jose Padilla’s trial during his time at Fox. He joined FOX after working at Denver’s KUSA and KDVR.

Keating most recently delivered live coverage from Surfside, Florida, of the Surfside condominium collapse. Previously, as part of FNC’s Democracy 2020 election coverage, he covered election news from Florida. Keating has covered several significant hurricanes throughout his time at FNC, including Hurricane Michael, Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Isaac, Hurricane Irene, and others.

He also covered the shooting at Parkland, Florida’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Keating has also covered the State of Oklahoma’s trial of Terry Nichols, a co-conspirator in the Oklahoma City Bombing, as well as a number of high-profile cases, including NBA star Kobe Bryant’s alleged rape and assault, JonBenet Ramsey, Matthew Shepard, and the deadly shootings at Columbine High School. Keating also contributed to FNC’s 2014 New Year’s Eve special, All-American New Year, which was broadcast live from Miami, Florida. In 2013, he covered the George Zimmerman murder trial and the shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin from Sanford, Florida.

Keating started his journalism career as a reporter and photographer at WMAZ-TV (CBS-13) in Macon, Georgia in 1990. He later ended up as a lead reporter for KUSA-TV (NBC-9) in Denver, CO, WBNS-TV (CBS-10) in Columbus, OH, and KHQ-TV (NBC-6) in Spokane, WA before joining FNC.
