While at WFOR | CBS Miami, he reported live Pulse Nightclub shooting in 2016, and the Fort Lauderdale airport shooting spree in 2017. Folbaum also anchored the Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland 2018 massacre and talked live through text with a student who was hiding from the shooter. Because of his reports that highlighted the South Florida survivor community of the Holocaust, he won an Emmy award in 2017.
Before joining WFOR | CBS Miami, Rick served as a correspondent and anchor at Fox News from 1996 to 2013. While there, he covered breaking news such as the U.S. invasion of Iraq, the attacks of 9/11, and the “Miracle on the Hudson. During the 2012 election, Rick co-anchored all FoxNews.com live. Rick and his crew reached the World Trade Center in 2001 as the debris continued to fall when the Twin Towers were still burning. In addition to this, he was the 1998 to 2000 London-based foreign correspondent and was part of the team when Fox News Channel started its operation in 1996.
