Wilson serves at Fox 29 as a reporter for the 10 pm and 11 pm newscasts from Monday through Friday. Before this current position, she was anchoring FOX 29 Morning News and before that the FOX 29 Mid-Day News. She began as a fill-in anchor and general assignment reporter at the station.
At Fox 29, Wilson has done reports on every historic weather event and major breaking news, e.g. Hurricane Sandy. Also, she has been part of the team that led the coverage for the Pope’s visit, the Phillies’ 2008 World Series victory, the Philadelphia Eagles’ historic 2018 Super Bowl victory, and the 2016 Democratic National Convention.
Wilson works as a reporter on Fox 29. Before moving to Philadelphia, she was in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she worked at the CBS station WBTV/WJZY. There she served as a reporter for the station’s 11 p.m. newscast, as well as an anchor of the 10 o’clock weeknight news. Before that, she was working for WJCL-TV, the ABC station in Savannah, Georgia, as a reporter and then anchor of the 6 pm, 10 pm, and 11 pm newscasts. Wilson has worked for local cable news station PV3 in Westminster, Maryland as a reporter/anchor. She has also served at Fox5 in Atlanta Georgia for nearly a year as an assignment desk assistant.
A proud alumnus of Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus, in New York, Wilson has earned Emmy nominations from The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. She is proud of herself for producing long-format stories such as her series on the heroin epidemic, which affected young people and pregnant women, young convicted felons returning to society, and many more.
Wilson is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, as well as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. When she is not working, she likes mentoring teens as well as working with young children. Also, she likes writing poetry and loves listening to kinds of music.
