Sheri also covered the Deepwater Horizon oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010 and the execution of a 35-year-old man who was convicted of murder at the age of 18 in 2012.
She also covered the tornado that blasted across the city in February 2013. Sheri began her career in media working as a traffic producer for local radio stations in her hometown of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She also worked at WTVJ-NBC6 in Miramar, in the production department.
