In 2019, Eagar had a very personal encounter with Dr. Ashley Ross. This is the Executive Medical Director of Mary Crowley Cancer Research. Dr. Ashley performed the Fusion Biopsy that located and identified Eagar’s Prostate Cancer. That encounter and the delivery of the cancer news changed Eagar’s life instantly. Eagar started a very personal journey to understand Prostate Cancer and HIS Prostate Cancer and choose the best course and the best doctor for the treatment.
After 10 weeks, Dr. Ashley did a Da Vinci Robotic Prostatectomy. Eagar has shared his story with his social media and the station’s social media viewers and followers. He advises and counsels anyone who has a question as they wade into the same unknown he did. He underwent his surgery on Thursday, August 15, 2019. At 6:30 PM on the day of surgery, he shared a video on his Facebook page.
