In Biloxi, he covered the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and got the opportunity to work with a sister station in Birmingham, Alabama.
From there, he went to work for the FOX affiliate, WSYM-TV in Lansing, Michigan as an anchor. After that, he returned to Mississippi, where he served at WJTV-TV. His stint at WJTV gave him a one-of-a-kind experience in his field and allowed him to meet some amazing people along the way. Friday has also worked for WISH-TV in Indianapolis, Indiana, and KLFY News 10 in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Friday aspired to be a journalist when he was in grade 4. His teacher had told them to do a weekly current events assignment, which he so much loved. Friday’s teacher encouraged him to pursue a career in journalism, and that’s where the journey started. Growing up, Friday loved watching power rangers, and also he was spending countless hours watching the local news, as well as reading newspapers.
