He started working for First Coast News in Jacksonville, Florida in the year 2015. There he covered Hurricane Matthew, the church shooting in Charleston, the 2016 presidential campaign of Donald Trump, and the Pulse Nightclub mass shooting. He won an Emmy Award for his work as a reporter on coaching salaries and education.
After that, Dial went to work for KSHB-TV in Kansas City, Missouri as a news reporter. While there he covered politics in Missouri and Kansas and was the leading reporter during Governor Eric Greiten’s sex scandal and resignation. In addition, Dial reported on multiple tornados and historic floods. Dial has also worked as a reporter for KNXV-TV in Phoenix, Arizona, WTVT-TV in Tampa Florida, and WFLD-TV in Chicago, Illinois.
