Hailing from Rockville, MD, Sydney’s interest in news developed at an early age. Inspired by her passion for asking questions, she embarked on her first journalistic venture in fifth grade, investigating the activities of the lunch lady when it wasn’t lunchtime. This passion was shown at the school talent show, marking the beginning of her journalistic journey.

During her time at the University of Georgia, Sydney interned at Good Morning Washington, NBC4 Washington, and CNN Newsource. Her dedication earned her the Board of Governors Scholarship from the Southeast EMMY Awards, recognizing her excellence in broadcast journalism. She also went to CNN Newsource and eventually became a Freelance Producer.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Sydney enjoys watching Bulldogs football, spending quality time with her cat Kirby (named after UGA football coach Kirby Smart), and engaging in crime novels.
