Corona serves at WSB-TV as a Weekday News Anchor, as well as Daily News Reporter. Previously, she was in Dallas, Texas working for WFAA-TV, an ABC-affiliated television station. Also at the same time, she was working at KPRC-TV in Houston, Texas, as an evening anchor. Corona was also serving at Local 10, the ABC affiliate in Miami holding the position of morning anchor.
Corona got her start as a news reporter in Yuma, Arizona, then Orlando, Florida, and El Paso, Texas. She has seen numerous significant news events, beginning in her college days, when she witnessed the O.J. Simpson murder trial. In Florida, she has covered everything from the 2000 presidential election to the 9/11 terrorist attacks to hurricanes in South Florida.
The proudest moment of her work as a reporter is that she has reunited an African refugee with her family members in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Also, winning an Emmy Award while at WSB-TV for her coverage of people’s abuse of the lightly regulated service dog industry makes her so proud. It has been pleasuring to team up with Robin Roberts for the purpose of supporting Women’s Heart Health initiatives in Miami. They used to appear on Good Morning America to support the issue.
Corona has been a host of multiple special events broadcasts like philanthropic gala events and sporting events. She has served on board for Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School, where she graduated its first class in May of 2018. She is a strong supporter when it comes to areas like education, women’s health, domestic violence, and literacy projects.
