Cupp, pop-culture commentator Touré Neblett, and political strategist Krystal Ball from 2012 to 2013.
Thereafter, he took over another MSNBC program that began in April 2013 and aired Saturdays and Sundays from 8 to 10 a.m. He has been MSNBC’s election coverage map correspondent since 2014. In addition, he hosted a daily program from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., and often he was a guest host on The Rachel Maddow Show, All In with Chris Hayes Hardball with Chris Matthews.
The NBC News Group named him National Political Correspondent on May 8, 2017, with plans to continue co-hosting the 4 p.m. edition of MSNBC Live with Nicolle Wallace. In 2018, he published a book titled The Red and the Blue: The 1990s and the Birth of Political Tribalism which chronicles “the polarization of politics”. He was named one of the sexiest men alive by People.
He has written articles for The New York Observer, New York Daily News, The Daily Beast, The Boston Globe, Salon, The Wall Street Journal, and New York Daily News.
