Ham is a proud alumnus of the University of Arizona’s journalism program, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Journalism. In regard to her profession, Ham serves at WBIR 10 News as a morning news anchor, appearing on the program, “10News Today”. Her newscast also airs on Fox43!
Her responsibilities as a news anchor have grown a bit. She helped start a 4:30 a.m. newscast in the year 2010. In the following year, she teamed up with Fox 43 to start a 2-hour morning program called “Mornings with Fox 43” that airs from 7 AM to 9 AM. In addition to her roles, she also serves as a producer of a weekly report, “Your Stories,” which is all about interesting places and individuals in East Tennessee.
Before joining WBIR-TV, Ham worked as a Morning News Anchor at WKYC-TV in Cleveland/Akron, Ohio for 1 year and 9 months (from October 2007 to June 2009). Prior to that, she was a weekend morning anchor at WBIR-TV in Knoxville, Tennessee, from February 2006 to November 2007. Ham has also served as a producer, evening anchor, and news reporter at WTAP in Parkersburg, West Virginia (from September 2003 to February 2006). That was actually where she started her journalism career.
During her time at WTAP-TV, Ham learned how to edit and shoot videos, as well as anchor, report, and produce newscasts. She reported on several stories like the presidential election of the year 2004 between John Kerry (Senator) and George W. Bush (Former President). Ham even had the chance to have a face-to-face interview with John Edwards (the Democratic Vice Presidential candidate at the time). While at WTAP-TV, she also won a number of Associated Press awards for her excellent work as a news reporter and anchor.
Throughout her career, Ham has also covered many other stories like the McClung Warehouses fire, which was nominated for a regional Emmy Award. In the year 2007, she anchored the morning newscast in Cleveland, OH. While working at WKYC-TV, Ham reported on the presidential election of the year 2008. This included even the Cleveland debate between Democratic candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
Besides journalism, Ham is also passionate about journalism. She is very active in Buddy’s Race Against Cancer, which supports the Thompson Cancer Survival Center and enjoys volunteering for other local charities. Ham has also volunteered at other charities such as Dress for Success, The Ronald McDonald House, and the JDRF.

In a WBIR-TV website article from November 1, 2023, Ham talked about colon cancer in an interview. She revealed that the disease runs in her family – her grandma had colon cancer 2 times. She said that her doctor advised her to get a colonoscopy. Ham also revealed that her doctor found a strange test result at her annual screening but after all, she did not have the cancer.
