Before joining WBIR-TV, she worked as an anchor and reporter for ABC11 Eyewitness News – WTVD in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina for half a decade (from February 2013 to February 2018).
Prior to that, Waliga spent nearly 5 years at Time Warner Cable in Charlotte, North Carolina. There, she served as an evening anchor from March 2010 to January 2013 and as an anchor and reporter from March 2008 to March 2010. Earlier in her career, she was an anchor and reporter at WJHG-TV in Panama City, Florida, from September 2006 to March 2008.
At WJHG-TV, she was responsible for editing and shooting her own stories, as well as anchoring and producing the weekend newscasts. During her time at Time Warner Cable, she reported on major events like the March on Wall Street South and the 2012 Democratic National Convention.
