Alex also helped cover up the deadly church shooting that took the lives of nine innocent people at a sister station in Charleston, SC. Alex received awards at WECT for his work on breaking news coverage and researching the technology of law enforcement surveillance.

When coming to his education, Alex attended UNC-Chapel Hill, graduating in broadcast journalism with a degree. Alex enjoys playing sports while he isn’t working, hanging out with friends, and spending time with his family.
