Anderson Cooper is an American eighteen-time Emmy award-winning anchor, host, and political commentator who is currently working at CNN. He serves as the anchor of  CNN’s news broadcast show Anderson Cooper 360° which airs at 8 pm. Additionally, he also serves as a correspondent for 60 Minutes on CBS News. Prior to him serving as the host of Anderson Cooper Full Circle which airs during weekdays at 5 pm.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360° which is hosted by Cooper is a global newscast that goes beyond the headlines with in-depth reporting and investigations. He has worked in more than forty countries and has covered almost all major news events around the world, often reporting from the scene since he began his career as a journalist in 1992.

Manhattan, New York City is his native home and he attended  Dalton School which is a private co-educational university preparatory day school in the Upper East Side neighborhood of Manhattan where he graduated proudly. Later on, he joined Yale University where he graduated in 1989, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. Additionally, he also studied at the University of Hanoi where he took Vietnamese and graduated proudly.

He has been at the center of CNN’s political and election coverage. Cooper has anchored from moderated and conventions of a number of presidential primary debates and town halls. Furthermore, the Committee On Presidential Debates selected him in 2016, to co-moderate one of the three debates between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Previously, he worked at ABC News where he served as a correspondent and host for the network’s reality program The Mole. Furthermore, when he joined the ABC he served as a chief international correspondent, and during that time, he reported and produced stories, from conflicts in South Africa, Somalia, Rwanda, Russia, Myanmar, Israel, Haiti, Cambodia, and Bosnia.

He served as  ABC News correspondent in 1995, and later on September 21, 1999, he became the co-anchor of its overnight World News Now program.
