Bree Smith Education
Smith joined Southern Methodist University in August 2000 when she finished her high school education. In May 2004, she graduated with a Bachelor Of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Performance. She studied Classical Theatre at the British American Dramatic Academy in the summer of 2003.

Following the 2004-2005 hurricane season, God pushed her to follow her love of weather and she rejoined school for a meteorology degree.
After attaining her meteorology degree, Smith started her career working as the weekend meteorologist for WVLA in Baton Rouge. In 2011, she relocated to her husband’s hometown of St. Louis, Missouri where she joined KSDK as the weekend meteorologist.
For 5 years, Smith tracked tornadoes, the unforgettably 2016 New Year flooding, and winter storms. In 2015, she teamed with Al Roker and did weather on the TODAY show. That same year, she was a featured contributor for the TODAY Parenting Team.
Smith serves as a member of the National Weather Association and American Meteorological Society. The Missouri Broadcasters Association granted her a Weathercast Certificate of Merit in 2015. She believes her greatest blessing is serving community outreach and volunteer work.
