Apart from journalism, Charlie also really cares about helping his community. In Seattle, he has raised money for kids with special needs, taught classes at local elementary schools, and improved the weather part of NOAA’s Science Camp. He says that he is looking forward to doing more community work here in eastern North Carolina.
