Edwards serves at 95.5 WSB Radio as a meteorologist. Before joining WSB Radio, she worked for WHNT News 19 Weather as a Weekend Morning Meteorologist (6 am to 8:30 am on Saturdays, and 6 am to 8 am on Sundays). She also appears from Monday through Wednesday at 9 pm. She joined WHNT in September 2015 and departed in July 2021.

Christina had lived in Atlanta, Georgia, for a long time, and had seen a number of different types of weather. Christina will never forget her first sighting of thundersnow, which happened when the Blizzard of ’93 (also known as the “Storm of the Century”) deposited nearly 3 feet of snow in her neighborhood.

Christina vividly remembers seeing an electrified thunderstorm heading south along I-75 on a warm March evening fifteen years later; minutes later, the thunderstorm created an EF-2 tornado in Atlanta’s heartland, just two miles from her home. Christina’s interest in science started when she was a child when she would look at the clouds for signs of shifting weather patterns and make homemade “weather predictions” on poster boards for her family and friends.

Christina worked as a digital meteorologist for The Weather Channel and weather.com after graduating from college, as well as a weather producer for WSB-TV in Atlanta. Christina is a Boy Scout Weather Merit Badge advisor and an American Meteorological Society member who is involved in the weather culture. When coming to her education, Christina received a B.S. in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences from the Georgia Institute of Technology as a result of her passion.

Christina loves watching college football while she is not watching the skies. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets… and whoever is playing at the University of Georgia is her favorite player. Christina still supports the marching band, regardless of the school: she marched the sousaphone in high school and college bands, and she is a member of the co-ed marching band fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi.
