Killimayer serves at WHNT News 19 as a news anchor of the 4:00 and 6:30 pm with Jerry Hayes based in Henderson, Nevada. Joining WHNT, she was the station’s first female sports anchor and reporter. During that time, she had the privilege of covering Alabama’s 2012 BCS Championship run as well as Auburn’s 2011 BCS Championship run. She was also able to form friendships with a variety of local college and high school athletes and coaches. Christine took a break from the company after two years at WHNT News 19, but she returned to North Alabama’s News Leader in April of 2014.

She served as a multimedia journalist for WHNT until 2016 when she was promoted to anchor. From April 27, 2011, tornado outbreak to the team name announcement for the Tennessee Valley’s newest minor league baseball team, Christine has covered a wide range of events and issues surrounding WHNT News 19 viewers. Her work on award-winning suicide prevention special is what she is most proud of.

Before joining WHNT, Christine worked as a sports anchor for Greenspun Media Group in Las Vegas. She covered many Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. fights, as well as numerous UFC events and UNLV basketball and football games, while she was there. Christine worked as a sports anchor and reporter for KTKA in Topeka, Kansas, prior to moving to Las Vegas. She had the chance to cover the University of Kansas and the Jayhawks’ 2008 Orange Bowl and NCAA National Championship run.

Killimayer became the first female sports director at WOUB-TV, a PBS affiliate covering 55 counties in four states, while still in training. She also had the chance to work for ESPNU as a sideline reporter. Throughout her career, Christine has won various awards, including many from the Alabama Broadcasters Association and the Alabama Associated Press Media Editors.

She was also nominated for an Emmy by the Nashville/Midsouth Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. When coming to her education, Christine earned a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism.
