Warren graduated from Delaware County Community College (DCCC) in the year 1994 and then attended the University of Oklahoma the following year. He studied natural science there at DCCC. During his stint at the University of Oklahoma, he was part of Sigma Nu and the American Meteorological Society (AMS). The AMS has honored him as a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist. Before joining CBS4, he served at WTXF-TV, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as a meteorologist.
Warren has also served as a meteorologist at WCAU-TV in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Al Jazeera America in New Your City, and KPAX-TV in Missoula, Montana. He has reported on a wide array of national weather events including the record snowfall winter of 2009-2010 in Philadelphia, the 2000 wildfires in the Western U.S., Hurricane Sandy, and the California drought.
Warren got fascinated with the weather when a round of golf was cut short by a fierce thunderstorm. His fascination with thunderstorms led him to tornado alley, as well as among the top Meteorology schools in the nation. During his leisure, he likes sharing his knowledge of meteorology with teachers and students.
He has mentored programs that bring meteorological science curriculum into the classroom, such as Datastream Atmosphere and the Student Weather Station. Warren is also active in the scouting community (Eagle Scout) and he looks forward to visiting local troops to assist the boys to get their Weather Merit Badge.
