She was awarded the Toledo Press Club Golden Touchstone Trophy, was named a YWCA Milestones Honoree, one of the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio’s 100 Women of Influence, and Diane was the first living woman inducted into the Ohio Associated Press Broadcasters Hall of Fame and just the second woman ever.
Among her most memorable assignments were traveling to China to cover the story of the Panda exhibit at the Toledo Zoo; going to Israel for a landmark visit to the WNIT Champion University of Toledo Rockets, being in Washington for the first inauguration of President Bill Clinton; a one-on-one interview with President Barack Obama during his 2012 run for re-election and dinner at the White Houses.
