Ed Harding Daughter Case
In April 2021, Harding’s daughter, Caitlin was charged with a serious crime, accused of sexually assaulting a student ten years ago. She said she is not guilty and had her arraignment in Middlesex Superior Court through Zoom. The charges against her include aggravated rape of a child, rape of a child by force, and indecent assault on a child under 14.

The incidents happened when she was working as a teacher at a middle school in Hudson in the summer of 2010. According to court documents, the alleged victim was a 13-year-old student, and the assaults started during a trip to get ice cream that summer. Back in 2010, a relative of the girl found a concerning video and troubling texts were later discovered by Caitlin’s ex-wife. However, these incidents were not reported to the police until recently.
Caitlin’s lawyer, Brad Bailey, said she denies the accusations and pointed out that they are from more than ten years ago, which raises doubts about their accuracy. He also spoke highly of Caitlin’s long and successful career as a teacher, coach, and mentor.
Previously, Caitlin left her job in Hudson in 2013 and taught in Needham until 2017. In a different situation, she was let go from Needham Schools after a teacher she had a romantic relationship with accused her of being abusive. Caitlin denied the allegations, and they reached an agreement to settle the case last year. Caitlin was released without bail, but the judge ordered her not to have contact with anyone under 18 or anyone involved in the case.
