Yang serves at WRC – News 4 in Washington DC as the morning news anchor. As a general assignment reporter specializing in covering breaking news for News4, Yang joined News4 at 11. The weekend editions of News4 Today were then anchored by her.
Since 2010, Yang has been the first to inform viewers in the Washington area about breaking overnight news, extreme weather, and big Washington stories. Her field anchor assignments included presidential inaugurations, visits by two Popes, the National Park Opening Day, which she reports every year, and the South Korean Winter Olympics.
Yang files compelling community stories about individuals and organizations important to the Washington area and anchoring News4 Today. She also received an EMMY for spending several years hosting a local restaurant show called Foodies: DC.
Yang worked for the National Geographic Channel in Washington and WUSA-TV before joining News4. She was inducted into the Women’s History Archives of Montgomery County. Yang has been listed twice by Washington Magazine, as one of DC’s 100 People to Watch and as one of DC’s Local TV News Stars.
