It has been almost four years since she came to the Sunshine State from Virginia where she served as an evening anchor. In 2007, she covered the Virginia Tech shootings during the eight years that she worked in Roanoke, Virginia, at WDBJ7. Additionally, she had assignments that took her to Washington D.C.

While in D.C., she covered the first inauguration of President Obama and other high-profile newsmakers. During the time she has served as an anchor, she has been awarded a number of awards including an Emmy award for anchoring ‘Best Newscast. Just at the age of seven, she already wanted to be a journalist after she went on a summer vacation with her family.

Further, she had the privilege of touring the CNN center in Atlanta. Her broadcasting career began in Abilene, Texas where she worked at KTXS. For her education, she attended Hampton University where she graduated proudly. Las Cruces, New Mexico is her native home but she currently resides in West Palm Beach and she is delighted to call it her home.

Furthermore, she is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and belongs to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. A while ago, she did volunteer with the Boys and Girls Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Bella’s Angels in Palm Beach County. On regular occasions, you can catch her emceeing the community.
