Jason Frazer Career
While he worked at WKYC, he assisted in navigating residents of Georgia and South Carolina through severe weather, including a number of l tornadoes along with hurricanes Michael, Irma, and Florence. Hurricane Irma clipped Georgia two weeks after he began working at Fox 28.
Just as at an early age, he knew that he wanted to become a journalist and he would pretend to iconic Today show weatherman Al Roker. Additionally, he has also ventured into banking and TV reporting in addition to his career in meteorology.
He attended Columbia University where he received a political science degree. Later on, Citibank’s Management Associate Program offed him the opportunity to learn how to manage a bank branch. Just at 24 years, he had not only learned how to sell mortgages, and checking and investment accounts but also how to manage a department. Furthermore, he accepted a position at JP Morgan Chase as one of the youngest branch managers in the nation.
He freelanced for the News 12 Networks throughout the NYC area. Later on, he was able to secure a job at WROC-TV, the CBS affiliate in Rochester, New York where he worked as a reporter. From there he worked at WBNS-TV, the CBS affiliate in Columbus where he worked as a general assignment reporter.
He worked at NBC Boston and NECN, New England’s 24-hour cable station from 2016 as an investigative reporter. While he was in Massachusetts he covered how landlords improperly placed young children on eviction notices, which impacted their ability to obtain credit and future housing in the area. Additionally, he attended and completed the Broadcast Meteorology Program at Mississippi State University in 2019.
During his leisure time, he enjoys traveling, football, bowling, cooking, acting, wine tasting, and whitewater rafting. Furthermore, he is an NFL fantasy football fan and one of the best Spades players.
