Roscoe is working for WCIA as an anchor for the 5 & 6 pm news. Her first experience on the news was for a car accident story. At the time, she was hit in front of the station a few weeks after becoming an intern in 1992. Later, she earned a promotion to reporter and eventually to anchor.
During her career, Roscoe has interviewed many people for stories, among them her favorite was for her “Angels Among Us” series. She finds the people she interviewed for the series amazing and one could believe they are angels after hearing how they have changed lives.
Roscoe has won multiple awards for her journalism work. For instance, her “Angels Among Us- Where Are They Now?” special won her an Emmy nomination. Also, her special about a school janitor won an Emmy nomination. Further, she won Silver Dome Best Anchor and Best Feature Awards, multiple Best Newscast Awards, and an AP Best Spot News Reporting Award.
Aside from her journalism work, Roscoe is a volunteer at the Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club and has helped many firms gather money at their fundraisers. In 2018, she received the Woman of Distinction honor from the Girl Scouts of Central Illinois.
