Later on, she was able to secure her first job as a reporter at the Fox affiliate in Columbia, South Carolina. While she worked at Fox affiliate, she broke a story of a missing 15-year-old girl named Gabbie Swainson, which made national headlines.

She worked at the noon newscast as a reporter and anchor in the Palmetto State at NBC Affiliate WIS for three years in Columbia. Later on, she was able to secure a job as a reporter at CBS/FOX located in Jacksonville Florida and she relocated there in 2015. Additionally, while she was in Florida, she did spend a week in Orlando covering the Pulse Night Club Shooting as well as Hurricane Matthew and the storm’s aftermath.
