Klass joined Penn State University in 2014 after completing her high school studies. In 2018, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology. While in college, she served at WHTM in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where she became a freelance on-air meteorologist.

She joined the First Alert Weather Team at WESH from Lubbock, Texas, where she served KAMC News as the weekday morning and midday meteorologist. Along with weekday weather, she was also the host of KAMC’s Kiss the Cook segment. Before that role, she spent one year as a weekend meteorologist, reporter, and lifestyle co-host. In this role, she hosted Trends and Friend and reported for the Weather Ready Nation franchise, which she created.
During her time in Lubbock, Klass predicted and covered tornadoes, hail events, record snow, ice events, and floods. She was not only in the studio covering extreme weather incidents but also out in the storm-chasing area.
Klass worked closely with the National Weather Service to generate educational updates in Texas on dangerous weather conditions, educating viewers on better plans. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration acknowledged her efforts and was named Ambassador of Excellence for the Weather-Ready Nation in 2018. She is a member of the National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society.
