There she served as co-anchor for “Eyewitness News This Morning”. Before that, she was serving at MSNBC/NBC as a reporter for “NBC Nightly News Weekend”, as well as an anchor for “Weekend Today Show” and “NBC Sunrise”. Before going to MSNBC, she served as a reporter at WJLA-TV, an ABC affiliate in Washington DC. Also, she anchored the evening newscasts at 6:00 pm and 11:00 pm.
Stokes holds the George P. Foster Peabody Award, which she received for her September 11, 2001 coverage of the World Trade Center attack.
