Before joining WBRC, she worked for 13WMAZ in Macon, Georgia as a weekend morning meteorologist for 4 years. While at 13WMAZ, he was freelancing at CNN as a weather producer, where he covered climate, weather, and other science-related stories to both international and domestic audiences across the world. At CNN, Daniel covered everything ranging from earthquakes, floods, Haiyan, and tsunamis, to plane crashes to droughts.

Before going to 13WMAZ, he served at Athens GA Weather in Athens, Georgis as a Weather Forecaster for 7 years (April 2009 – April 2016). Daniel has worked for iWeatherNet in Atlanta, Georgia as a Meteorologist and Blogger for a year. For less than a year (in 2013), Daniel worked for CNN, where he worked in the weather department.

Throughout his career, he has earned a number of awards in forecasting excellence. He has also made it into the final 4 of a weather forecasting competition that pairs up undergraduates, graduate students, and professors across Alabama. Daniel holds 2 Gabby awards, one for best use of social media and digital platforms at 13WMAZ, and the other one for best severe weather coverage at 13WMAZ. Other than working as a journalist, he has worked as a writer at EarthSky Communications for 4 years and one month (July 2011 – July 2015).

An American Meteorological Society member, Daniel likes giving support and volunteering in the community via events and school activities to increase weather awareness. When he is not at work, he likes to; write (he is a writer), perform music, and play various instruments such as trumpet, guitar, and piano. His favorite season is fall because he loves cooler temperatures and lower humidity, as well as SEC College Football!
