She saw with her own eyes the damage caused by the 2011 tornado in Joplin, Missouri, which was one of the deadliest tornadoes ever recorded, ranking seventh in history. Throughout her career, she has covered many stories such as tornados, thunderstorms, and snowstorms. While she was in Medford, she liked to help at the local animal shelter and got one rescue dog. She also served as a host of the yearly program, “Pet Fashion Show”. Later, she started working on the evening news, and people voted for her as the second “Most Popular TV Personality of Southern Oregon.”
Parry is passionate about animals (most especially dogs), and she owns 3 rescue dogs; one of them is called Coco Chanel Sprinkles. During her spare time, she likes spending time with her dogs, traveling, doing CrossFit, or eating nachos. She says that her favorite weather type is microclimates.
