Michelle’s influence can be felt in many places, but probably most notably in matters of “community.” Michelle was inspired to organize the “Community Baby Shower” after having two children of her own. An event is now an annual event aimed at ensuring that every Treasure Valley infant has a pleasant, healthy start. Michelle often “walks the walk” at events like the Komen Race for the Cure and the See Spot Walk, where she willingly shares the spotlight with her spokesdog Woodrow, who was also adopted from a shelter.
Prior to arrival in Boise, Michelle did an internship in Sacramento, reporting in Pocatello, and anchoring in Grand Rapids, Michigan. That is, however, only a fraction of her geography. Michelle enjoys traveling and has traveled through 38 states on her path to visiting all 50 states. We don’t mind as long as she remembers where the studio is. Michelle Edmonds, in fact, is someone we’d like to be if we could be anyone.
Despite the “we’re still trying” tradition of doughnut Fridays in the newsroom, she’s never had a cavity in her life, partly because of her brilliance and commitment, partly because she has a wall full of accolades, and partly because she’s never had a cavity in her life.
