She began her career as an editing assistant at CBC News and progressed through the ranks to become a writer, video journalist, reporter, host, and foreign correspondent.
Köksal’s reporting from the region, based in Istanbul, took listeners inside Syria, the refugee crisis, and the impact of ISIS. She reported on Turkey’s post-coup political and societal upheavals, as well as a series of fatal terror attacks around the country and the death of Russian Ambassador Andrei Karlov.
