Colette Kennedy is an award-winning Canadian journalist who serves at the CBC News Network and the CBC Weather Center as a meteorologist. She has managed a successful ten-year career in real estate and has designed and renovated several large projects, she still holds her license today, a passion of hers.

Colette joined the CBC News Network and the CBC Weather Centre in 2013 as an award-winning meteorologist. She went on to become the go-to person for all of Canada’s regions, from Vancouver to the North, Ottawa to St. John’s, and Newfoundland. She later joined CBLT as the local Toronto Meteorologist, and she is ecstatic to be a full-time member of the local Toronto News Team and your go-to weather expert.

She continues to lend her support to News Network on occasion, particularly during major weather stories. Colette has also been a part of the HERE AND NOW crew since February of 2017 and enjoys the recurring segment “Toronto the Good,” which she also presents to CBC TORONTO NEWS.

Prior to joining the CBC, she worked for a variety of outlets, including a local ABC station in Topeka, Kansas, The Weather Network, NBC and ABC stations in Baltimore, and NBC in Philadelphia. She has done live reporting during significant storm coverage on CNN and The Weather Channel in the United States. The fact that I can now call Toronto home is the cherry on top!

Her favorite aspect of the GTA is the diverse and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Colette enjoys the hustle and bustle of downtown and resides right in the heart of it, making it a breeze to support her beloved Raptors, Jays, and Leafs! She enjoys writing, and for the Kingston Canadian Film Festival, she created an award-winning short film. Colette enjoys working with animals, particularly fostering dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family and raising awareness about mental health.
