For instance, he previously worked at Hearts Television/ WPBF in West Palm Beach, Florida where he served as the morning news anchor from June 2010 to July 2016. Prior to that, he previously worked at WRAL in Raleigh, North Carolina where he served as a reporter from March 2003 to March 2006. From March 2000 to March 2003, he worked at Waterman Broadcasting Corp where he served as a reporter. Prior to that, he previously worked at WFXB-TV where he served as a reporter from September 1999 to March 2000 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USA.

In 2003, LaGrone went to Kuwait and Iraq enclosed the war alongside the 82nd Airborne Division. In addition to that, he also spent about two weeks in the middle of the Sunni Triangle enclosing hostilities against U.S. troops that were just starting to intensify. He has also managed to enclose several stories that hit the headlines all across the states and beyond. For instance, he enclosed tropical storms in Florida and North Carolina and the Presidential election controversy in Tallahassee in 2000.

LaGrone has also managed to win several awards ever since he started his journalism career. For instance, he was awarded three Associated Press awards for his investigative and writing work. He was also awarded a Regional Edward R. Murrow award in 2007 for an investigation that exposed child pornography on charity-donated computers. He was also nominated for an Emmy for “Best Spot News Coverage” in 2004. Furthermore, he also produced and wrote segments that hold politicians accountable for what they say which earned him an Emmy Nomination in 2015.
