Reid Kisselback Career
Reid started his broadcasting career at WKTV in Utica for a year and eight months as a weekend morning/evening meteorologist/multimedia reporter. Reid likes to go to local schools to explore the intricacies of meteorology, in addition to his duties as a meteorologist. Reid is a native of Capital City. Before completing his bachelor’s degree at UAlbany in June 2013, he grew up in Cohoes and attended Cohoes High.
In the summer of 2016, Reid interned at WTEN News 10 ABC Albany while at UAlbany. He also interned in Albany with the National Weather Service and in Mesonet, New York State. Reid participated on campus as an Orientation Leader for three summers, and a Resident Assistant (RA) for 3 semesters, in addition to interning and participating in the UAlbany forecasting contests. Reid was an active member of the American Meteorological Society and served for a senior year as Vice President.
He was also a co-founder and president of The Driving Force, a commuter student organization founded to help commuter students find out about activities and resources on campus available to them. In his spare time, Reid likes being outdoors, whether it’s running, biking, hiking, or just playing Frisbee. Reid graduated from UAlbany in 2017. Exercise, singing, ax throwing, and learning to play new instruments are other hobbies he has (he can currently play the trumpet, a couple of songs on the harmonica, a bit of drum, and very little guitar), and photography.
