As a child, he would go to sleep with his AM transistor radio almost every night. He would surf the airwaves for fa-away stations till he fell asleep or his mom made him turn it off.
Riesinger got his job in radio a few weeks after graduating high school. There, he was tasked with spinning records at a country music station. Briefly after, he climbed the ranks to TV sports and news.
During his career, Riesinger has done some cool things like spending multiple seasons broadcasting the home games of the Kansas City Chiefs, who are also his favorite NFL team. He was on the ground when the tea, won its initial World Series in 1985. He was a few feet away from influential global leaders while reporting on the 2004 G-8 Summit.
