In addition to her anchoring career, she works for a nonprofit organization called the GSI Family of Companies as a public affairs analyst a role she started in December 2022. She has also been the Communications Analyst since October 2017 in the GSI Family of Companies in Edgewater, Maryland.

Previously, Jacobs served at NBC News Radio as an anchor and reporter from May 2016 to October 2017. At NBC News Radio, her other role included producing newscasts for several radio stations served by the Washington DC Bureau of NBC News Radio and writing a copy for the national broadcast wire. Before joining NBC News Radio, she worked at CBS Radio as a News Anchor and Baltimore Bureau Chief – NewsRadio 99.1 WNEW from January 2014 to January 2016. While there, she reported on issues and news that affected the residents of central Maryland and Baltimore.

Jacobs also worked as a News Anchor and Public Affairs Coordinator, at NewsRadio 99.1 WNEW and 94.7 Fresh FM from January 2012 to January 2016. In NewsRadio 99.1 WNEW, she wrote, produced, and delivered news, sports, and weather news. At 94.7 Fresh FM, Jacobs produced and hosted a show called “Fresh Perspectives,” airing every Sunday morning and its main focus was issues of national, regional, and local concern. Previously, Sarah served as the Mix 106-5 Morning Show Co-host and Director of News and Public Affairs from December 1999 to December 2011. Jacobs started her career as a Morning Show Host at Nassau Broadcasting from 1997 to 1999.
