In 2014, he won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Reporting for his coverage of Syria.

His stories have led him to every continent as a senior journalist. Petricic was the first CBC correspondent to report from Antarctica in 2006. He’s also been on CNN and worked on special projects for BBC Television News.
