Chenevey began his journalism career at a radio station before moving to a television sports reporting job, where he covered high school football, then the NFL, and the NCAA. From there, he now moved to WYTV-TV. His favorite moment that he has ever had was reporting from New Orleans in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, as well as the continuous coverage of week-long mine rescue in Pennsylvania. Throughout his career, he has won several awards. He holds 6 Emmy Awards, three for Best Anchor, which he received while at FOX 5. He also holds 2 prestigious Edward R. Murrow Awards.
During his leisure, he likes working on his body fitness at the gym, snowboarding, or running around the monuments. You can also find him at a local baseball or softball field, or even at a guitar shop.
