Tina Simpkin Career

Tina is the Maritimes’ morning meteorologist for CBC. She is based in Halifax and may be heard on Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick morning broadcasts. Tina provides a plethora of experience in both weather forecasting and live broadcasting, with more than two decades of experience in meteorology.

Tina recently joined CBC from Environment Canada in Edmonton, where she spent the previous four years. She worked as a meteorologist for CTV in the Maritimes for six years before that.

She’s also a member of the American Meteorological Society with a television seal of approval, having worked as a broadcast meteorologist in Indianapolis and Kansas City south of the border. Tina returns to a job where she can combine her two passions: meteorology and broadcasting.
