He co-anchors the morning newscasts on Saturdays and Sundays alongside Taylor Cox (meteorologist) and Shelby Montgomery (Anchor). Also, he serves as a morning reporter for breaking news from Monday to Friday.
Before joining KOCO5, he served at KTSM-TV (NBC Affiliate) in El Paso, Texas as a multimedia journalist. There he reported on a number of significant stories while on the United States and Mexico border, such as the February 2016 historic visit of Pope Francis’ to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. He also covered the sudden death of Antonin Scalia (U.S. Supreme Court Justice) in West Texas in the same week.
Rael has also worked for KRWG-TV News22 in Las Cruces, New Mexico as a News Anchor, Reporter, and Web Manager for 4 years and 5 months. He has also interned at KOAT-TV in Albuquerque, New Mexico as a News Reporter and Producer for 4 months. During his leisure, he likes to; ski, cycle, and cheer on the Thunder. He also likes spending time at the golf course.
