When coming to his education, Alex is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he received a bachelor’s degree and a diploma in digital media education in broadcast journalism. He also received a Master’s Degree in Geosciences from Mississippi State University with a concentration in broadcast meteorology.
In May 2012, Alex was honored by the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Media of the University of Georgia with the John E. Drewry Award for Young Alumni Achievement. An ardent sports fan, particularly Georgia Football, every Saturday in the Fall, he roots for his Bulldogs. He enjoys music as well and he has a passion for movies.
