She spent 4 years and 3 months there filling in as a meteorologist on World News Tonight and Good Morning America. While there, she covered hurricanes Isaias, Dorian, and Florence.

Before that, she worked for WAPT-TV in Jackson, Mississippi as a weekday morning meteorologist for 3 years and 8 months. Bell served at KHBS/KHOG in Rogers, Arkansas as a meteorologist for 1 year and 5 months, before going to WAPT. Bell has been passionate about weather since she was young. Her love for severe weather came after the 1998 Nashville F3 tornado. As the tornado struck, Bell was at school, just a few miles away from the devastation. She got inspired by the calm demeanor of the meteorologists on television, to be that voice of calm when harsh weather strike.

Mentioning her education, Bell is a proud alumnus of Mississippi State University. She graduated from the university in the year 2012 with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Professional Meteorology. During her stint at the university, she chose to participate in the school’s Great Plains storm chase, where she spent a couple of weeks in a tornado alley chasing severe storms. Bell holds the prestigious Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal of approval, which she received from the American Meteorological Society (AMS). During her leisure time, she likes exploring the outdoors or having meals at local restaurants.
