Miller serves at FOX 2 – WJBK as the sports director and anchor on Fox 2 and as a radio play-by-play announcer on the Detroit Lions Radio Network. He also appears frequently via satellite to address the Lions during the “Word on the Street” segment on the NFL Network’s pre-game show NFL GameDay Morning.

Miller has been the radio play-by-play announcer for the Detroit Lions of the NFL since 2005, as well as hosting their official pre-game talk show The Lions Roundtable on the Detroit Lions Radio Network, working with long-time color analyst Jim Brandstatter, and Tony Ortiz, a sideline reporter.

Miller was a play-by-play announcer for the NFL on area Fox broadcasts from 1994 to 1997. In 1995, he got a job as a weekend sports anchor for WJLA-TV. During the NFL season, Miller also hosts The Lions Review Show on WXYT-FM on Mondays at 7:00 PM ET.

As a teenager, with his father, who was a season ticket holder for the latter, Miller always attended Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Colts, and Washington Redskins games, even though according to Miller, “he didn’t even know how to keep score” Also when Miller was on the team, he never missed either of his basketball, baseball or football games.

Miller, after graduating high school, got a job as a college student at Mutual Radio Network affiliates WJLA and WTEM to serve as an engineer for their weekend sportscasts. He was asked at a work interview if he knew how to edit an audiotape. He was pretending and claiming he could. For 11 years, he kept the job. When coming to his education, he is a proud graduate of George Mason University.
