Danielle Wiggins is an American Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter who is currently working at WKYC. She serves as the anchor of the  GO! morning show which airs for half an hour from 4:30 a.m, she also serves as a traffic reporter and as the host of digital news updates on the station. Furthermore, she contributes to enterprise reports to various newscasts.

Northeast Ohio is his native home. Furthermore, she was the co-creator, host, and producer of the station’s “Rising” initiative which told the stories of people in Northeast Ohio who have overcome challenges to attain success and inspired others to do the same.

 She told a story titled “Rising” episode which featured a teen with cerebral palsy who pursued his dream of playing organized basketball. In 2018, the National Association of Black Journalists awarded her with a Salute to Excellence Award and she won a regional Emmy Award.

 She worked at 89.7 WKSU, Northeast Ohio’s regional NPR affiliate where she served as the morning traffic reporter before joining 3News. In addition, she was the main producer and correspondent for “The Regina Brett Show” on the station. Furthermore,  under her leadership, “The Regina Brett Show” won many state and national awards. The show won under the category of the best radio show and Ohio Excellence in Journalism award.

 She attended Bedford High School where she graduated proudly. Later on, she joined Kent State University where she attained a bachelor’s and master’s degree in journalism and mass communication. After her graduation, she began as an intern for NPR’s afternoon news magazine show “All Things Considered.” From there, she moved to work at ABC affiliates in Cleveland and CBS.

 She is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists, and the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. In addition, she is a church leader and her aim is to serve the Northeast Ohio women’s needs.
