Geoff was a member of an award-winning weekend news team at WTVG in Toledo, OH, where he covered extreme weather, including particularly devastating tornadoes. Cornish helped viewers stay ahead of a severe midwinter ice storm while at WTVQ in Lexington, KY, and provided warning when fatal tornadoes tore through eastern Kentucky on March 2, 2012.

Cornish’s fascination with weather began at a young age. Geoff, who grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs, saw firsthand the devastation that diverse weather conditions can wreak during the 1993 Superstorm.
